Procurement Assistant
Location: Qatar
We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Assistant to provide advice and support related to procurement policies and procedures, ensuring smooth coordination between departments and the head office procurement function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise and assist departments in understanding and implementing approved procurement policies and procedures
- Coordinate all purchase requirements with the head office Procurement function
- Coordinate provision of catering services through head office Procurement
- Follow up on and track purchase order statuses with head office Procurement
- Assist in supplier selection, evaluation, and vendor tracking alongside head office Procurement
- Identify departmental purchase needs and prepare/submit purchase requests to head office Procurement
- Monitor delayed purchase orders and prepare related reports
- Evaluate lead times for products reaching the store and maintain sufficient inventory levels
- Supervise all storekeeping activities
- Maintain and update databases related to purchase orders
- Ensure effective coordination between branch and head office regarding procurement activities
- Monitor and improve procurement efficiency and effectiveness
- Evaluate the Storekeeper’s performance and recommend annual raises
- Prepare periodic performance reports for the Head of Administrative & Support Services
Requirements:
- Diploma degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
- Training in procurement management, supervisory skills, and time management
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience
