We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to join our team and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor company safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety inspections.
- Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Organize and conduct safety training sessions for employees.
- Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, and prepare reports with corrective action plans.
- Ensure compliance with local and national health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Safety Officer or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of OHS legislation and procedures.
- Certification in occupational health and safety (NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) is preferred.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
