Position Title: Sales Engineer – Oil & Gas Field Products Department: General Trading / Oil & Gas Division Location: Qatar Reports To: Sales Manager / Division Head Job Purpose:
To promote, market, and sell oil & gas field products and industrial materials to clients in Qatar. The Sales Engineer will identify new business opportunities, maintain strong relationships with key customers, and ensure that sales targets are met through effective technical and commercial strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Business Development
Identify and develop new business opportunities within the oil & gas, construction, and industrial sectors.
Prepare and submit quotations, tenders, and proposals in coordination with suppliers and internal teams.
Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and contribute to the company’s overall growth.
Conduct market research to identify potential clients, competitors, and industry trends.
2. Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, contractors, and end-users.
Follow up on submitted quotations and negotiate commercial terms to secure orders.
Provide pre- and post-sales technical support to clients.
3. Technical & Product Knowledge
Understand technical specifications and applications of oil & gas field products such as valves, fittings, pipes, instrumentation, safety equipment, and electrical products.
Liaise with principals and suppliers to source suitable products as per project requirements.
Conduct product presentations and demonstrations when required.
4. Coordination & Reporting
Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and finance departments to ensure timely order execution and delivery.
Maintain accurate records of inquiries, quotations, and sales in CRM or company database.
Prepare periodic sales reports, forecasts, and performance reviews.
Desired Skills & Experience
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation) or equivalent.
Minimum 3–5 years of sales experience in Oil & Gas / Industrial Trading sector in Qatar or GCC.
Strong network with EPC contractors, end-users (QatarEnergy, QP affiliates, etc.), and suppliers.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Valid Qatar driving license preferred.
Skills Required:
Technical understanding of oilfield and industrial products.
Strong sales and commercial acumen.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple inquiries efficiently.
Team player with strong problem-solving attitude.
