Job Description: The Accounting Department Manager is responsible for managing all accounting activities of the company, ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with regulations, and timely reporting. The role involves supervising the accounting team, daily banking, payroll, and financial reporting to support management decision- making.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee full- cycle accounting operations.
- Manage payroll, ensuring timely and accurate salary payments
- Handle all banking transactions and Letters of Credit (LCs)
- Provide daily reports on cash and bank balances, including amounts received and paid
- Monitor project and operational costs and ensure accurate cost tracking
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements
- Supervise and guide accounting staff
- Improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls
- Provide financial analysis and information to management to support business decisions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in Qatar
- Experience in projects in lighting supply/install and showrooms; and real estate preferred
- Strong knowledge of payroll, banking, and LC processes
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel, Odoo preferred
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
