The Transport Supervisor – Laundry Operations is responsible for managing and supervising all transportation activities related to the collection and delivery of laundry items. This includes overseeing drivers, vehicles, routes, schedules, and ensuring timely, safe, and hygienic transportation of customer linen, uniforms, and garments in accordance with company standards and service-level requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and supervise daily pickup and delivery schedules for laundry items.
Coordinate transport operations between laundry plant, clients, and service locations.
Supervise drivers and helpers to ensure punctuality, discipline, and professional conduct.
Ensure proper handling, segregation, and protection of clean and soiled laundry during transport.
Monitor vehicle loading/unloading to prevent damage, loss, or contamination of items.
Ensure all vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and suitable for laundry transport.
Maintain vehicle documents, permits, insurance, and service schedules.
Control fuel usage, mileage, and transport-related costs.
Maintain accurate transport records, delivery notes, and route logs.
Handle customer complaints related to delivery delays or transport issues and take corrective action.
Investigate and report accidents, delays, shortages, or damages.
Coordinate closely with production, customer service, and warehouse teams.
Train drivers and helpers on hygiene, customer service, safety, and company policies
