Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Welding Supervisor to oversee welding activities, site fabrication, and quality compliance for Oil & Gas projects in Qatar. The ideal candidate must have strong technical expertise in welding processes, materials, NDT requirements, WPS/PQR compliance, and hands?on supervision of welders and fabrication teams.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and monitor daily welding activities, fabrication works, and material preparation.

Review WPS, PQR, and WQT documents, ensuring compliance with project specifications.

Coordinate with Welders, Fitters, Fabricators, and QC teams to achieve daily targets.

Ensure adherence to welding standards (ASME, API, AWS) and project quality requirements.

Inspect weld joints, fit?ups, bevel preparations, and ensure welding consumables are correctly handled.

Monitor pre?heat, interpass temperature, and post?weld requirements.

Support NDT scheduling, welding traceability, and repair management.

Address fabrication issues and provide technical guidance to welding teams.

Prepare daily reports, documentation, and maintain updated welding records.

Enforce safe work practices, PTW compliance, and site HSE procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).

Minimum 5+ years of experience in welding supervision within Oil & Gas projects.

Strong knowledge of SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, PWHT, and related welding processes.

Familiarity with ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1, API standards, and NDT methods.

Ability to read isometrics, fabrication drawings, and welding maps.

Strong communication, leadership, and coordination skills.
