Role Overview

We are seeking a Cost Control Engineer with a Mechanical or Electrical engineering background to support budgeting, cost tracking, financial reporting, and project controls for oil & gas projects in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of EPC project cost structures, and experience coordinating with engineering, procurement, and project management teams.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, monitor, and update project budgets, cost plans, and forecasting schedules.

Track all project expenditures, commitments, invoices, and variations.

Prepare monthly cost reports, variance analyses, and cash?flow projections.

Review purchase requisitions, material requests, subcontractor invoices, and service orders.

Maintain cost breakdown structures (CBS) and ensure accurate cost coding.

Support project management in cost-related decisions, risk identification, and mitigation.

Coordinate with planning for cost–schedule integration and progress measurement.

Prepare cost?related documentation, dashboards, and management reports.

Ensure compliance with company financial procedures and project cost control processes.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Previous experience in cost control for oil & gas / EPC projects.

Proficiency in MS Excel, cost control tools, and reporting systems.

Strong numerical, analytical, and documentation skills.

Understanding of CBS, budgeting, forecasting, and cost drivers.

Ability to work under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines.

Must be currently in Qatar with valid QID & transferable Visa/NOC.

Immediate availability is mandatory.
