Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Scaffolding Supervisor to oversee scaffolding erection, modification, inspection, and dismantling activities for Oil & Gas projects in Qatar. The ideal candidate must have strong technical knowledge of scaffolding systems, safety procedures, load calculations, and hands?on supervision of scaffolders to ensure safe and compliant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise scaffolding erection, alteration, and dismantling in accordance with project requirements and safety standards.
- Review site requirements and prepare job plans, materials lists, and manpower allocation.
- Ensure scaffolding structures comply with international standards (e.g., BS EN 12811, OSHA) and project specifications.
- Conduct visual inspections, tag scaffolds, and ensure proper documentation of scaffold safety status.
- Coordinate with construction, maintenance, and HSE teams for safe execution of scaffolding activities.
- Monitor scaffold material handling, storage, and certification compliance.
- Identify hazards and enforce strict safety procedures during working?at?height operations.
- Provide guidance and training to scaffolders on safe practices and proper installation methods.
- Prepare daily progress reports, risk assessments, and scaffolding inspection logs.
- Ensure PTW (Permit?to?Work) requirements are adhered to during all scaffolding tasks.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or Trade Certification in Scaffolding / Construction discipline.
- Advanced Scaffolding certification (CITB / CISRS / TUV / equivalent) is highly preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of scaffolding supervision experience in Oil & Gas projects.
- Strong knowledge of scaffolding systems (Cuplock, Kwikstage, Tube & Fitting).
- Ability to interpret scaffolding drawings and load requirements.
- Strong leadership, communication, and safety compliance skills.
