Career Opportunity – Production Engineer (Fire Doors, Ducts and Pre-fabrication)
Location: NAFFCO Qatar
The Production Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the manufacturing of fire-rated doors, HVAC ductwork, and prefabricated components. The role ensures production targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, productivity, and cost efficiency. The engineer works closely with design, planning, procurement, quality, and installation teams to ensure timely delivery of products that meet customer specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and monitor daily production activities to meet project deadlines.
- Supervise the manufacturing of fire-rated doors, HVAC ducts, and prefabricated components in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, machinery, materials, and production resources.
- Coordinate with Planning, Procurement, QA/QC, Warehouse, and Project teams to ensure smooth production flow.
- Monitor production quality and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and customer requirements.
- Identify and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Implement process improvements to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and optimize production costs.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and safe working practices.
- Maintain production records, reports, material consumption, and machine utilization data.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–8 years of experience in manufacturing or production, preferably in fire-rated doors, HVAC duct fabrication, sheet metal fabrication, or prefabrication.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, fabrication processes, quality control, and manufacturing operations.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and shop drawings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and ERP/MRP systems.
- Good leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of ISO standards, HSE regulations, and lean manufacturing principles is an advantage.
