Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee and manage all export and import operations for our manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective international logistics operations, including customs clearance, shipping documentation, container management, and freight coordination. This role requires strong expertise in Qatar Customs regulations and high-volume global shipment management.
Mandatory Requirements & Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, shipping, and international trade operations.
Proven experience managing high volumes of containerized import and export shipments.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of Qatar Customs regulations, import/export procedures, and trade compliance.
Hands-on experience with shipping documentation including B/L, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, COO, EPC, BAL, and related trade documents.
Proficiency in ERP systems, shipment tracking platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong understanding of Incoterms, freight forwarding, and international logistics operations.
Mandatory Criteria:
Extensive experience in export and import logistics management.
Strong knowledge of Qatar Customs clearance processes and documentation requirements.
Experience coordinating sea, air, and land freight operations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Fluent in English.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the complete export and import logistics cycle, including shipping, customs clearance, documentation, and final delivery.
Ensure compliance with Qatar Customs regulations and international trade requirements.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and transport providers.
Prepare, verify, and manage all export/import documentation, including B/L, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, COO, EPC, and BAL.
Monitor and optimize container utilization, shipping schedules, and freight costs.
Handle high-volume container shipments across multiple international trade lanes.
Track shipments and proactively resolve logistics issues such as delays, demurrage, cargo claims, and customs-related challenges.
Maintain accurate logistics records and support internal and external audits.
Monitor global freight market trends and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
Ensure timely delivery of raw materials, finished products, and equipment.
