We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a strong background in the Food & Beverage (F&B) / Hospitality industry to manage and oversee day-to-day accounting and financial operations.
The ideal candidate should have solid experience in financial reporting, cost control, inventory accounting, budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and internal controls. Hands-on experience with SAP Business One is highly preferred.
The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Operations, Procurement, Inventory, and Management to ensure accurate financial reporting, effective cost control, and strong financial discipline across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise daily accounting operations and accounting staff.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing.
- Monitor F&B food cost, inventory, wastage, consumption, and cost variances.
- Review stock movements, inventory adjustments, and physical stock-count results.
- Analyze food cost percentages, gross margins, branch/outlet profitability, and operating expenses.
- Review daily sales, POS reports, cash/card collections, and revenue reconciliations.
- Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and financial projections.
- Review monthly purchasing activities and coordinate with the Procurement Department on purchase trends, pricing, and cost variances.
- Monitor supplier accounts, payment schedules, and outstanding balances.
- Strengthen financial controls, accounting procedures, and approval processes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and Company financial policies.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide required financial documentation.
- Prepare management reports and provide financial analysis to support business decisions.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend improvements to Management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong previous experience in the F&B, Restaurant, Catering, or Hospitality industry is required/preferred.
- Previous experience in a Senior Accountant or supervisory accounting role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of F&B costing, inventory accounting, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting systems.
- SAP Business One experience is highly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of AP, AR, GL, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end closing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict reporting deadlines.
