Trade Finance Accountant

Location: Doha, Qatar

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-focused Accountant to oversee trade finance activities, including Letters of Credit (LCs), Bank Guarantees (BGs), Loan Against Trust Receipts (LTRs), bills discounts, and other related banking transactions. The position plays a key role in supporting trade finance and treasury functions while ensuring accurate financial recording, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination with banks, suppliers, and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and track trade finance instruments such as LCs, BGs, LTRs, and bill discounting facilities.
• Liaise with banks, suppliers, and internal stakeholders for the issuance, amendment, and closure of trade finance facilities.
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of trade-related, shipping, and customs documentation.
• Prepare periodic trade finance reports and provide support during internal and external audits.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, banking regulations, company policies, and internal control procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Trade Finance Accounting or Treasury Operations.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of trade finance accounting principles and banking operations.
• Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple transactions within tight deadlines.
