Electrical Engineer Required

We are seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to plan, supervise and support the installation, maintenance and operation of LV/MV electrical systems, ensuring compliance with Kahramaa regulations, QCS and international standards, and providing technical leadership to the electrical maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and supervise electrical installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance activities on site
Review drawings, single-line diagrams, load schedules, BOQs and technical submittals; prepare method statements and risk assessments
Lead root-cause analysis of electrical failures and implement corrective and preventive actions
Coordinate with Kahramaa, consultants, contractors and clients on approvals, inspections and shutdowns
Manage PPM schedules, spare parts planning and maintenance KPIs for electrical assets (transformers, switchgear, DBs, UPS, generators, lighting)
Supervise and mentor electrical technicians; enforce permit-to-work, LOTO and HSE compliance
Prepare technical reports, as-built documentation and maintenance records

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (attested)
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in building services, MEP contracting or facilities management; GCC experience preferred
UPDA/MMUP registration (or eligibility to obtain) is highly preferred
Sound knowledge of Kahramaa regulations, QCS, IEC/BS/NFPA standards and electrical safety practices
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office and CMMS/ERP-based maintenance systems
Strong communication, planning and team leadership skills
Willingness to work in shifts, on-call rotation and outdoor conditions where required
Good command of English (spoken and written); Arabic or Hindi/Urdu is an advantage
Strong commitment to health, safety and environment (HSE) practices
Available for immediate joining – preference will be given to candidates currently in Qatar with a transferable visa / NOC
