HireRex Recruitment is looking for an experienced and certified Ship-to-Shore (STS) Gantry Crane Operator to operate gantry cranes during container vessel loading and unloading operations at a container terminal.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Ship-to-Shore (STS) Gantry Cranes for loading and unloading containers from vessels.

• Perform safe and efficient crane operations in accordance with vessel working instructions.

• Maintain operational productivity and performance targets.

• Follow approved lifting procedures and safety requirements.

• Ensure compliance with manufacturer instructions and equipment operating limitations.

• Conduct routine crane inspections and report technical issues.

• Follow emergency response procedures and maintain safe working practices.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Secondary School education.

• Valid Gantry Crane / STS Crane Operator certification.

• Valid Qatari Crane Operator Licence.

Requirements:

• Must meet CORP-PAI-STD-005, Appendix (B), competence requirements for crane operators.

• Valid equipment-specific operator competency certification.

• Strong knowledge of crane operating procedures, manufacturer instructions, lifting limitations, and emergency procedures.

• Hands-on experience operating STS/Panamax Gantry Cranes for container vessel operations.

• Physically capable of working at height and on rotating shifts.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in container terminal operations.

• At least 3 years of experience as an STS Gantry Crane Operator.
